Place: Cafe Pap
Location: Parliamentary Avenue
Attractions: Warm customer service from smiley Prossy drew me in. And she was amiable enough to share the menu and also make some recommendations. There are a variety of fast foods and pastries to choose from.
My initial plan was to pop in for a cup of African tea but I ended up trying the banana cake as I relaxed on one of the comfort of the leather seats that are adjacent to the two big entrance doors with a view that extends to the main road.
So as I enjoyed my 8 o’clock tea, my ears had some easy listening of Tina Turner’s 1984 hit What’s Love Got To Do With It on Apple Music. I had the open view of the traffic and people walking along the Avenue.
Ambience: The oval bright lights hanging with support of rustic chains are catchy and beautiful within green and maroon basket like holders. The vanished tables are well spaced out. They can sit two to four patrons.
In the corner, three friends are happily enjoying their meal and conversation.
Prices: You will enjoy something from UShs5,000 to Shs30,000, or slightly more.
A.O.B: There is public parking along Parliamentary Avenue. Otherwise, it is within walking distance from the Parliament of Uganda, Uganda National Cultural Centre/National Theatre, Jubille Insurance building and Kampala-Jinja Road.
