For a while, I’ve accustomed my pallet to the thick and creamy plain yogurt and it has been as good as it gets because it’s filling and healthy and a sure way to keep my digestion smooth and balanced.
Recently, a friend of mine was visiting, and knowing my pallet craving for yogurt, decided to pick a mixed berry flavored fresh dairy yogurt pack for me. You could say she wanted to spruce up my spirits because it seemed something my taste buds were yearning for that Saturday morning.
With every spoon, savoring the sweet and thick condiments and fruity flavors was a delight. I have since decided to keep enjoying my plain yogurt but lately making sure I also shop for some flavored ones too, after all hasn’t it been said that variety is the spice of life.
On the shopping shelves are flavors like mango, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. What’s more is that there is a healthy benefit to enjoying milk products which science has proved to nourish and add value to the body in terms of keeping weight in check, and improving our muscle mass, and bone and teeth health.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first-ever qualified health claim for yogurt, recognizing a potential link between its regular consumption and a reduced risk of type-2 diabetes.
“Don’t cry over spilled milk. By this time tomorrow, it will be free yogurt,” American poet and comedian, Stephen Colbert said.
