You have a choice of stating at Buhoma Lodge on in the Northern section of Bwindi Forest National Park or Ishasha Wilderness Camp nestled alongside the Ishasha river in Queen Elizabeth National Park for US$130 for East African citizens on full board accommodation for the whole month of April.
Buhoma Lodge and Ishasha Wilderness Camp – I have attached our brochures for you. Buhoma Lodge is located in the Northern section of Bwindi Forest National Park and is the perfect base from which to go gorilla trekking. Coming up close and personal with a rare mountain gorilla is truly a once in a lifetime experience and I really hope you are able to experience at least once whilst you are visiting Uganda!
Ishasha Wilderness Camp is the only lodge within the boundaries of the Ishasha region of Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is nestled alongside the Ishasha river and is actually my favourite park. Ishasha Camp is a tented camp and listening to the river running by and the sounds of the savannah is magical!
The Ishasha region is also famous for it’s population of tree climbing lions. Seeing these majestic cats fast asleep up a fig tree with their bellies hanging over the branch is magnificent! We are also able to offer bush breakfasts and sundowners whilst staying at Ishasha. A fried egg, big bowl of fruit or your favourite ice cold beverage served amongst the rich grasslands of the savannah wilderness makes it taste 100 times better!
