Attractions: Lake Mburo National Park has the biggest number of burchell’s zebras as one of the main attractions. It takes its name after the lake which is one of the excursion conduits that is relaxing to a tourist as they watch a number of birds, wildlife and beautiful views of landscapes.
Lake Mburo is the biggest lake. The others are Lake Kigambira, Kabikwa, Kazuma and Bwara. All the five lakes share the same water only divided by wetlands. While on a game drive, be sure to see eland antelopes, or Southern Elands, buffaloes, warthogs, herds of hippopotamuses, crocodiles which account for some 70 mammals, 350 bird species and 400 plant species.
How to get there: Lake Mburo National Park is approximately four hours from Kampala, by road.
Where to stay: You can choose to stay in Mbarara or at one of the lodging facilities within the park. Your tour operator will be happy to help you choose from the options. My recommendation is Kigambira Safari Lodge.
