Location: The Giraffe Centre is located in Lang’ata, approximately 20 kilometres from Nairobi, Kenya. It is a 15-minutes’ drive.
Attractions: In its towering nature, the giraffe remains a graceful giant. At the centre, you will be able to feed the Rothschild Giraffes and also get to capture your thrilling moments on camera.
The giraffes are used to people and graciously reach out with their stretched and lumpy tongues to feed on crunchy snacks provided by tourists. You might want to know that the centre was established by the late Jock Leslie-Melville, a Kenyan citizen after discovering the sad plight of the Rothschild Giraffe.
When to visit: The centre is open every day from 9am to 5pm. Peak hours during week days are 11am to 1pm. Weekends are busy.
Rates: Non-resident adult part with $10, non-resident children $5, resident adults KShs250, resident children KShs50 and free for school groups if they book one week in advance.
