Yvonne says it is the best event she has ever attended and gives her reasons. The tour operator describes herself as a curious person who can’t be in one place longer than two months, mostly positive and trying to inspire or give ideas where I can.
What was your motivation for attending the Essence of Africa expo?
I want to expose Manya Africa and grow through meeting hosted buyers around the whole world. Get essential contacts and learn about new products.
What was your experience at the expo?
It was the best event I have ever attended. It was well organized, with great entertainment and the best selection of hosted buyers. On-show solutions and Atta really help companies in Africa, especially East Africa.
What business did Manya Africa make?
I hope to have 4 new agencies but we see.
How does the expo compare to the other expos you’ve attended?
Very well because it is announced in time, very well organized and easy to maneuver around.
What lessons can the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo learn from the Essence of Africa expo?
Timely communication, a better and working matching platform. Real hosted buyers.
What is in the wish list of Manya Africa?
Growth, more staff, more destinations, more cars.
What tips can you share on fully exploiting expos as a tour operator/hosted buyer?
Always go when you are prepared and not just go to shop and have fun. Have your materials in order. Get in touch with the hosted buyers via the platforms. Stay in touch after.
