Attractions: Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest and Park is rich in biodiversity, making it the perfect home to 400 prized Mountain Gorilla. It is home to half of the world’s Mountain gorilla population. It was a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site.
Take time to visit the Bakiga and Batwa marginalised communities of people who previously lived in Bwindi Forest. They are natural entertainers. If you care for birding, Bwindi is inviting with some 350 bird species.
The thick forest has over 400 plant species, 120 wild mammals and beautiful waterfalls. It is the source of five rivers that flow in Lake Edward. It offers a vantage view of the draughty Ruhija sector and the beautiful rift valley.
