Africa’s iconic African leisure trade show, Africa’s Travel Indaba, is on and is expected to attract international visitors and media. The four-day expo will run from 13th through to the 16th of May 2024 at the iconic Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (Durban ICC).
Africa’s Trave Indaba is organised by South African Tourism (SAT) to create market access for a vast array of African leisure tourism products. According to a press release shared by SAT, throughout the four-day event, an array of activities is set to unfold, fostering knowledge exchange and deal-making aimed at enticing more travellers to explore the African continent.
“Whether indulging in a leisurely stroll along the beach promenade or immersing themselves in the city’s captivating sights and sounds, attendees are promised an unforgettable experience,” the press release states, in part, adding that renowned for its hospitality and dynamic culture, Durban remains a top destination for both leisure seekers and business travelers. Collaborating with Durban, the province of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) has bolstered security measures, particularly in tourist hotspots and around the Durban ICC Precinct.
To facilitate seamless navigation, the province will deploy ambassadors through its tourism agency to assist visitors with directions and information. Mayor Cllr. Mxolisi Kaunda reaffirmed the city’s dedication to visitor satisfaction, citing Durban’s track record of successfully hosting major events. He also highlighted the city’s accolade as Africa’s leading Festival and Events destination for three consecutive years, as recognized by the World Travel Awards.
Africa’s Travel Indaba 2024 serves as a catalyst for transformative growth and connectivity. Delegates are encouraged to contribute to the dialogue, share their perspectives, and become integral to the evolution of African tourism.
