Valentine’s dinner at Nyanja

Place: Nyanja Restaurant at Speke Resort Munyonyo

Programme: Valentine’s Dinner that will include a glass of sparkling wine or fresh juice. There will be a solo singer and guitarist performing.

Time: 7pm onwards

Prices: Shs150, 000 per couple.  If you are staying, there is a deal called ‘Speke’s Amour Week’ with special accommodation rates on half board basis and includes breakfast and valentine’s dinner for two at Shs498, 000.

Programme: Accommodation for two, full English breakfast, buffet lunch, candle light dinner at the beach, soft drink on each meal, glass of wine, guided nature walks, romantic canoe ride, steam and sauna.

Valentine’s in Queen Elizabeth National Park  

Place: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Programme: Enjoy a game drive, boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, take nature walks, hiking, bird watching, Katwe tourism centre and the equator.

Price: Singles will part with Shs600, 000 and Shs1.1m for couples. The fees include transport to and from the national park then accommodation, meals, photography and the activities.

There will be salad and gravy on the side. Desert, heart-shaped chocolate brownies dipped in chocolate and whipped cream will be served.

The Love Nest

Place: Hotel Number 5 in Entebe.

Programme: Candle lit dinner with a saxophonist. There will be a bottle of wine or sparkling non-alcoholic wine, a long stem rose and heart shaped chocolate

Price: Shs300, 000 per couple. If you are staying, you will part with US$200 per night which comes with dinner for two, bottle of house wine, valentines treat, bed and breakfast. If you would like to have a room without the dinner package, you will have bed and breakfast, you will pay US$140 for a standard room and US$160 for a suite.

Weekend get-away with love

Place: Kabira Country Club

Programme: Valentine’s day is on a Sunday. You are invited to have a special weekend get away with your loved one in the city. On a half board basis, you will have accommodation, breakfast and a choice of lunch or dinner.

Price: A couple pays Shs120, 000 while singles pay Shs65, 000.

Place: The Lawns, along Acacia Avenue

Programme: For chicken lovers, you can have grilled chicken breast and glass of red wine.

Price: Shs61, 000. Chicken is Shs46, 000 and Shs15, 000 for the red wine.

Valentine’s staycation

Place: Igongo Cultural Centre Hotel, Mbarara

Programme: candle hilltop dinner will be served in three courses, namely starter, main course and dessert.

Price: A couple will part with Shs120, 000. If you are stating at the hotel, you will pay Shs600, 000 for two nights.

Place: Athena Hotel in Bugolobi

Programme: A couple will be charged US$90 per night which is inclusive of breakfast, a bottle of wine and late check out. The offer will last from Friday to Sunday.
